About Us
After joining multiple horse-related Facebook groups, we found ourselves constantly losing track of information. People across the country were having interesting conversations or providing useful services, but it was becoming extremely difficult to keep track of all the local and national services available to Canadian equestrians. While Facebook can be a great platform for the general public, we thought it would be ideal to create a separate community of our own that connected horsey people together.
We know there are a lot of small equine businesses out there doing great things, we also know that there are individuals in need of goods and services. Of course there are going to be the obvious ones that we all require, like farriers or nutrition-related needs, but there are so many more businesses to consider. Where do you go to find equine massage? What about a saddle fitter in your area? How about blanket repair? Or trailering? There are a lot of horse-related needs and having them all in one place and at your fingertips seems to make a lot of sense.
What We Do
We’ve started by designing this space to have two components – an opportunity for people to connect with each other and a directory where businesses (big AND small) can advertise their products and services. As we grow, businesses will be able to publish customer reviews and develop a comprehensive portfolio. Individuals will be able to form groups and participate in forums for discussion. We are really hoping this site will serve as an equestrian hotspot where we can highlight all the amazing things that are happening in the equestrian community.
